What is the Booster Program?

As part of the Canadian Ringette Championships, the local host committee is looking to pair a family or two families with one of the 37 teams from across Canada who will be competing in the U16 or U19 division at the 2019 CRC’s from April 7-13, 2019.

The program is open to any U10, U12 or U14 player ringette player (U8’s can be included as long as they are paired with an older sibling/friend/neighbor).

What are the Requirements to Participate?

Booster participants will be required to do the following:

- Players/families will meet their team for the first time during the marshalling at the opening ceremonies at 5:30 pm on Sunday April 7 at Credit Union Place and sit with their team during the ceremonies (unless arrangements are made to meet earlier during one of the teams practice)

- An email address/phone number will be shared with the team and the team may reach out to see about getting some assistance with a few items to help them while in PEI. Often the requests are for some cooking supplies (crock pots and griddles) while in PEI and the booster
family can help where possible.

- During the week of the championships the ringette players get out and support their team if they can. This can include taking in a game or maybe participating in something the team invites them to do. There is no requirement to attend all (or any) of the games, to miss school, or anything like that. It is when you can make it.

What do I Receive as a Booster Family/Player?

- Each Booster family will receive a free tournament pass for the player(s)and one free tournament pass for the parent (that can be transferred between parents if need be)

- A chance to have a strong impact on the quality of experience for a team coming from another Province to the Championships

- A chance for your ringette player to learn from and make friends with some of the best ringette players in Canada

How do I get Involved?

- To register or for more information please email crcbooster@gmail.com and provide your name, players name and age group.

This program is an important part of hosting the Canadian Ringette Championships and we require a number of players/families to make this successful. We hope you will consider getting involved.
