The Ringette Coaching Circle

 
Opportunity for competition introduction (CI) certified coaches to come together to discuss ringette strategies, tactics, coaching tips and team management with other coaches.
 
The coaching circle is for:

1. CI certified head or assistant coach for any PEI Wave or Edge team
2. Coaches that are planning to be on a PEI Wave or Edge bench that have yet to be CI certified
3. Coaches that may have a future interest in coaching high performance (if there are seats available – first priority goes to coaches in #1 and 2 above)

 
To participate coaches must:

• Be willing to come together and share their coaching knowledge (everyone has something to offer)
• Give some thought to each of the subjects on the schedule each night
• Take a white board and marker if they have access to their own (if not, there will be some there)

• Creating a high performance environment
• Developing your philosophy/program
• Breakouts
• Attacking the Triangle

Session 2

• Stick Checking
• Goaltending
• Defending the triangle
• Full ice defense
• Communication

Session 3

• Shooting and Scoring
• Passing
• Defensive/Center/Offensive free passes
• Special situations
• Using the rule book to your advantage

Session 4

• Sport Science
• Using video and analytics
• Scouting opponents
• Team Building
• Other (as identified by the coaches)
